Why did he do it? Obi-Wan Kenobi decided to give up his life and let Vader slice him in half. Why?

“If you strike me down I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine”

There are a few theories, my favourite is that Kenobi didn’t actually die (hooo). If you notice, he disappears from his cloak well before Vader’s lightsaber gives him a centre-parting. This could be very poor special effects on a incredibly low budget, or Kenobi transforming himself into a powerful spirit of The Force to help Luke – a rare and very tricky thing to do I’m told. It’s always good to believe in the better story so I’m going with the latter.

Here’s Obi-Wan seconds before he has to make that choice.

Limited Edition Canvas Print – £60

All Canvas prints are stretched over a standard 18mm wooden frame with satin  finish. They are ready to hang and don’t need to be framed if you don’t want to.

They are the same size as the original and signed on the back. Here’s what it’ll look like if you have a red sofa with very neat cushions.

Thanks, hope you like the painting.
